What is Solar?

Solar panels create energy by using Photovoltaic cells to convert sunlight into direct current (DC). The solar panels then turn the DC into alternating current (AC) electricity through an inverter. The AC electricity then gets spread throughout the house where it is needed. Any excess energy is sent back to the electric grid.
